I recently received my Phillips Avent Double Breast Pump through Stellar Panel, and wow am I glad I did. After using other brands for my first born, and recently with my second, this one is a great alternative to the higher priced competitors. The cushions are comfortable, and painless. Extremely easy to clean which was a really important factor for me as you spend a lot of your day cleaning parts when you’re an exclusive pumper! User friendly, versatile and easy to bring with you anywhere. I did find the suction power was not as strong compared to its competitors but I was able to get the same amount of milk production with just a few more minutes, and it was far more comfortable! Would definitely recommend!

I received this great breast pump as part of Stellar Product Testing Panel but I kid you not, I will buy this with my own money after trying this pump. I have 3 children and currently breastfeeding the youngest one. I have tried and used other breast pump brands out there- manual, single and double electric pump. I actually dreaded pumping due to the frustration it gives me everytime I can't produce enough output, uncomfortable suction and makes my breast sore after pumping. I am very happy when I used Avent Phillips breast pump, it is very comfortable to the breast. The suction is very gentle even in the highest setting. It also produced the most amount of breast milk in 2 minutes of using it. What's great about it is also the design of the breast attachment that fits everyone, you don't need to purchase a different flange no matter what your breast size is. I would highly recommend this product to every mother out there. Although I’m a second time mom, I was intimidated by the seeming complexity of pumping. While I had tried a handheld single manual pump with my first, it wasn’t efficient and required a fair bit of thought to use, which is a lot to ask for a sleep deprived mom. Enter the Philips Avent double electric breast pump, which was sent to me as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Simplicity and ease was something I was looking for, and thankfully this delivered. Initial set up and cleaning was straight forward. It’s a real lifesaver that it can be cleaned in the dishwasher. I especially appreciated that there is just one flange size. This took out some guess work and it still fit very well, without awkward pulling or pain. The silicone cushions were way comfier and better fitting than the other handheld pump I’d used. I was pleasantly surprised with how effective (and quick!!!) it was at expressing while still feeling gentle, and the efficiency of the double action is so key! Despite being a double pump, it is still very light and portable and comes with a discreet pouch that can be brought out for on-the-go. There were some tricky bits to get used to. The number of settings took a bit to figure out, but eventually appreciated that I could gradually level up and level down. Also, I haven’t tried it outside the house yet, but I anticipate having to stretch the cord in some cases. Just being a wee bit longer (and perhaps with an included clip to help wind it up when not in use) would help open up options. Also lucky that baby was already a fan of the Avent bottles and nipples!

I received the Philips Avent Double Electric Breast Pump for free to try from Stellar Product Testing Panel and was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked! I have used an electric pump in the past with my older children but was so impressed with the Avent pump! First off, I love how small and compact it is! It is easy to store away in the bag when not in use and it doesn’t take up much space when using it - can have it on the table, next to you, on your lap, etc. It has only a few parts that require cleaning, which when it comes to cleaning and disinfecting with baby, is a plus. The actual suction is so well done! It slowly gets started, prepping your body with its “stimulation mode”, and then it changes automatically to the next stage. It really did feel like I was breastfeeding my little girl! It almost took me aback it felt so similar! You have the options to in/decrease sensitivity, but I found the factory setting to be perfect for me. The flange fit over my nipples perfectly and comfortably. It works best with a pumping bra, but I was able to hold both bottles as well when using both or individually. I was able to express milk rather quickly after the stimulation mode. I filled the 4oz bottles that it comes with within 5 minutes! It was so incredibly quick I had to do a double take because it usually takes me a hot minute to fill up a bottle. I learned that when I feel full, that I need to use larger bottles with this pump, something I never experienced with my old pump. The speed of it is great when I want to quickly fill up some bottles or freeze some extra for those emergency days I need to leave baby. Overall, I am incredibly impressed with this pump! I am so happy that I was selected to try it and able to utilize it to the fullest. The only improvement I would make would be for this pump to be completely portable - aka it can be used on a battery and not have to be plugged in. I highly recommend this pump if you’re in the market for one as it will bring such convenience to your life!

We switched my baby from exclusively nursing to bottle-fed a combination of pumped and formula. A day later I received the Avent Double Pump through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Its small (can sit behind my couch without being visually distracting as well as easy to travel with), quiet (I can easily watch TV while pumping) and powerful. The silicone shields fit multiple sizes so I didnt have to worry about that. It pumped as much if not more then my previous pump. More then anything it’s just easy! It remembers your settings going forward so I dont have to finagle with it. Highly recommend.

I have used this pump on a daily or near daily basis for a few weeks. It has some great features, chief among them is its comfortability. This pump is by far the most comfortable I’ve used in my 2.5 years of pumping for two kids. Until starting to use this pump a few weeks ago, all I had used was one specific brand of pumps (both at-home and hospital grade from time to time). This pump comes with flanges made of silicone rather than those made of hard plastic that have accompanied all of the other pumps I’ve tried. The silicone is much softer. That makes pumping a much more comfortable activity and much less of a chore - my prime complaints about pumping. I’ve only been using this pump for a short time so I’m curious to see how its parts stand up to heavy dishwasher and electric sterilizer use. Second, the suction seems gentler than that of my other pumps though it still gets the job done. I do find it takes a bit longer to pump the same volume of milk using this pump (as compared to the other pumps I’ve used) but I find that’s well worth what is gained in comfort. I’m also curious to see how this pump holds suction in the weeks, months, and possibly years to come. That said, there are a few features of this pump that I don’t like. The first is that it has many parts and so it’s more time-consuming to wash and sterilize. For now, that doesn’t bother me too much. If I end up pumping exclusively, this factor may lead me to consider other products. This pump also doesn’t fit well with any of my (brand-specific) hands-free pumping bras unfortunately. Finally, my husband complains that this pump is louder than my other pumps but it’s only slightly so - maybe a bit lounger than a cell phone on vibrate. When in use, it doesn’t disturb my baby sleeping in her bassinet beside me or distract my toddler playing nearby. Despite a few relatively minor drawbacks, I do like this pump and would certainly recommend it for occasional use given that it is exceptionally comfortable to use. That is the most important factor for me as a busy mom if two kids. Most importantly, I need the product to get the job done as comfortably as possible for me, even if it means that it takes a bit longer to clean the parts or actually pump. If I find that this pump loses suction or the parts don’t withstand washing and sterilizing well after several months of use (as several of my other pumps have done), I will update this review accordingly. I really enjoyed this pump due to the convenience. It is compact and portable and as per my picture, the pump is quite small in size and it is also very light. I personally liked it very much while I was on the go! The look and design of the pump is sleek and easy to navigate. I like how the pump came with the pump bag along with smaller sleeve for the smaller parts. It also didn't take long to understand the various expression and stimulation modes. I got a good hang of the pump after my second pump session especially since the flow was ideal. In terms of the actual pumping, and when I first used it, the suction was painless and the cushion made it quite comfortable. The sound is discrete which I liked since I would use this as an 'on the go' pump. My output at 20 minutes is desirable and I love how I can pump directly into the Avent bottles and feed my baby directly. A huge plus of the pump is the flanges, I did not need to look for custom sized flanges or adapters due to the design of the silicone cushions while for other pumps, the flange is usually a headache for me. Cleaning is straight forward and such a breeze since I was able to use my current pump brush to clean the pump parts. Overall, I would recommend this pump especially if you are looking for something small, portable and intuitive. I was really hesitant to invest in an electric pump. My little one never took well to bottles, so pumping hasn't been an every day thing for me. I was getting by with hand and manual pumps. I didn't think electric would be worth the money for my situation and it seemed like a huge hassle to use. Ladies, I was very wrong. The Philips Avent Double Electric breast pump is an absolute game changer. It is smaller than I expected, so it's pretty slick to carry around. It's fast enough (!!!) and quiet enough to use at work. Did I mention it's fast? I am regretting all the time I wasted with hand pumps. Clean up is no problem either. It's easy to clean - no more challenging than the hand pump. I find I am pumping much more now that I have it and I'm spending less time doing it. Did it make me love pumping? Absolutely not. But it did make pumping easy enough that I don't mind doing it. And that's a pretty big win. So, if you are on the fence about an electric pump, just get it. Your time is worth more than the price, I promise you. I have always been using manual breast pumps and was exclusively breastfeeding with an opportunityto stay at home. When I had to go to a business trip, I needed to store milk for 3 days. The manual ones are not that great, and I am very sensitive. This breast pump was great, the suction is good and the amount of milk I can pump at a time was much better than the manual ones I've tried so for. Overall, I'd recommend using this breast pump.
