    How do I setup my Philips espresso machine?

     

    We congratulate you on your Philips espresso machine. Learn how to set up your espresso machine and adjust the settings to your liking. After a few simple steps, you can prepare first-class coffee in no time!

    Follow the step-by-step instructions:

    Water tank

    1. Fill the water tank.

     

    Remove the water tank and fill it with fresh water up to the MAX marking.

    Fill the coffee bean hopper

    2. Fill the coffee bean hopper.

     

    Fill the coffee bean hopper with espresso beans.

    3. Turn on your espresso machine.

     

    Connect the small plug to the connector on the back of the espresso machine and the main plug to a mains socket. Set the main switch to position "I" (if it is on the machine). Press the standby button to turn on the machine.

    Place a cup under the hot water

    4. Place a cup under the hot water / steam wand.

     

    Place a container under the hot water / steam wand to catch the water that is being prepared.

    How to adjust the intensity and aroma of your coffee

    Grinder settings

    Grind settings

     

    You can adjust the grinder settings using the control in the bean container (from a fine setting for a strong espresso to a coarse setting for a lighter coffee taste).

     

    Place a cup under the coffee spout to adjust the degree of grinding. Press the cup of "espresso". When the grinder is activated, change the setting using the key.

    With each coffee recipe, you can use the "Memo" button to adjust the strength to your taste and the size of the cup.

     

    Press and hold the button for the desired setting until the “Memo” icon appears or the button starts to flash. The machine changes to the programming state and starts preparing the selected coffee. Depending on the machine model, you can stop this process by pressing the "OK" key or the key just programmed.

    To adjust the coffee strength, press the "Aroma strength" button or turn the dial to one of the bean settings. This varies depending on the machine.
