Put your snoring to rest, for good

Lots of snoring is what we call “positional” snoring. This type of snoring is often caused by sleeping on your back, due to the simple effects of gravity. Worn around the chest, the SmartSleep Snoring Relief Band is the first Philips solution for positional snoring. 86% of users reported reduced snoring after four weeks of use1.

Using clinically proven technology, the positional monitor detects when you’re moving onto your back and delivers gentle, adaptive vibrations that prompt you to sleep on your side.

      How it works

Philips SmartSleep Snoring Relief Band is intended to reduce snoring disruptions for positional-dependent back snoring where snoring ceases when sleeping on your side. Using clinically proven technology, the positional monitor detects when you’re moving onto your back and delivers vibrations that prompt you to sleep on your side.

The sensor has a self-learning algorithm that optimizes the vibration levels based on your individual response rate.

A built in 30-minute timer, allows you to fall asleep in your favorite position – back, stomach, or side - before the sensor starts detecting position movement.

After 30 minutes, the sensor will begin sending vibrations when it senses you are sleeping on your back.
Vibrations will stop when you roll on to your side.
      Ramp up adaptation phase
To help you ease into your new experience, there is an adaptation phase where the number of vibrations will increase in percentage over time. After your 8th session, the sensor will vibrate every time you sleep on your back.

The sensor display shows 3 different data screens that illustrate your nightly use.

Not sure what type of snorer you are? Ask your partner:

Do I snore on my back or my side?

If you snore on your side as well as your back, your snoring is probably more than just positional.

Do I only snore when I’m congested?

If congestion is your cause, Snoring Relief Band will not help.

Do I sometimes choke or gasp for air?

If yes, your snoring may be a sign of something more serious, read below.

When is snoring a sign of something more serious?

If your snoring includes stopping breathing, gasping or choking sounds, that could indicate a more serious condition such as obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). This product is not a medical device and is not intended for use in the mitigation and treatment of disease or conditions including POSA (Positional Obstructive Sleep Apnea). Visit our sleep apnea web site and learn the signs to look for and whether you should talk to your doctor..
