A firmware upgrade means that you change the internal software from your Pronto NG. You do this to use new features that are released by Philips or to have a fix for some problems that occurred in previous versions.

NOTE: a firmware upgrade mostly requires also an Editor upgrade.

To perform a firmware upgrade you need to download the Pronto NG Firmware Updater from the download page.

Use the following instructions to upgrade:

1. Connect the Pronto NG and wait 10 seconds.
2. Start the Pronto NG Firmware Updater and press start.
3. Follow the instructions.
