To activate SenseIQ, download the Philips Avent Baby Monitor+ App and unlock the feature within the App. We recommend activating the SenseIQ feature as soon as possible so you can get the most out of your device.
For the optimal sleep-tracking experience with SenseIQ, we highly recommend using the mounting system that came with your baby monitor. By doing so, you will be able to position the camera in the most suitable location with an excellent view, allowing you to monitor your baby's sleep and breathing patterns with ease and efficiency.
The model of your Philips Avent Premium Connected Baby Monitor determines the mounting system that you have.
The 2-in-1 mount is included with model SCD971/26, SCD973/26 and SCD973/37 and attaches to the baby crib or a wall.
The wall-only mount is included with model SCD971/37 and SCD974/26 and attaches to the wall.
No matter which mounting system you have, we highly recommend mounting the Baby Unit at the center of the long side of the baby’s crib.
Sleep-sacks, bedding, and patterned clothes are great to use with this baby monitor. Avoid thick clothes and bedding that are all of the same color, as the Baby Unit needs contrast to detect a motion. For optimal tracking, ensure a tight fit of clothing, and avoid loose bedding on top of your baby.
The mattress should appear as a straight horizontal rectangle on your screen. The straighter the mattress is on the screen, the better.
For best results, connect your Baby Unit to Wi-Fi (a solid white light should be showing).
Do not place your crib near curtains wherein the light conditions may change frequently. Keep your baby’s crib and sleeping area free from hanging mobiles, toys, or moving lights. The fewer objects cluttering the view, the better your baby monitor will work.
The monitor is sensitive to movement. Avoid using a rocking crib or bassinet. Avoid having pets too close to the crib so it doesn’t get moved accidentally.
