Why is there a brief 'cooldown' period on Cry Translation?

    Published on 22 November 2024
Cry Translation is an AI (artificial intelligence) technology that first detects and notifies you if the baby is crying. Second, it provides a cry translation: for example, the baby is hungry, uncomfortable, irritated, sleepy, or if the baby needs to burp.

We have set a limit (or so-called 'cooldown') and stop temporarily sending you notifications and cry translations after each cry translation.

Pediatric research shows that while the baby is crying, the baby might express different feelings within a short period of time. For example, babies cry because they are sleepy. Still, as they might struggle to fall asleep immediately, they may ask for food or milk to soothe them (hungry). For this reason, we 'cool down' the feature to avoid confusing you and overloading you with different translations in a very short period of time. After the time (usually a few minutes) is counted down, the feature will automatically go back to detecting and analyzing the status (if the baby is still crying).
