How do I adjust the settings of my Philips Barista Brew Espresso Machine?
The Philips Barista Brew Espresso Machine provides you the option to adjust the drink volume and coffee extraction temperature. Read our article and watch the videos below to find out how.
First, make sure that there is enough water in the tank, the filter basket is filled with coffee ground and installed, the machine is switched on and you have your cup(s) in position.
Adjust Espresso / double Espresso cup volume Press and hold the Espresso or double Espresso button of the drink you want to program. Coffee will be dispensed and after a few seconds you will hear a beep and the light will start flashing. Once the cup contains your desired amount of coffee, release the Espresso or Double Espresso button, the machine will beep once, and your setting is saved.
Note: You can set the drink volume of an espresso between 20 ml and 70 ml, and for a double espresso between 40 ml and 120 ml.
Adjust American cup volume
Press and hold the Americano button. Coffee will be dispensed and after a few seconds you will hear a beep and the light will start flashing.
Once the cup contains your desired amount of coffee, release the Americano button. The Americano button starts flashing.
Press and hold the Americano button again. The machine will start dispensing water via the hot waterspout.
When the cup contains your desired amount of water, release the Americano button, and your setting is saved.
Note: You can set the coffee drink volume between 20ml and 70ml. The minimum hot water volume is between 50ml and 200ml.
You can simply restore each of the individual drink recipes to factory default.
Ensure the machine is ready to use, press and hold the On/Off button, and simultaneously the recipe you want to restore. After three seconds you will hear three “beeps” and the On/Off button and chosen recipe button will flash three times to acknowledge the factory default.
You can choose from three settings: warm coffee, medium hot coffee, and hot coffee.
Make sure the machine is switched off. To adjust the coffee extraction temperature setting, simultaneously press and hold the On/Off button and the Espresso button for three seconds. You can release the buttons pressed.
For warm coffee, press the Espresso button.
For medium-hot coffee, press the Double Espresso button.
For hot coffee, press the double americano button. (default setting, Americano button is already on).
After the button is selected, switch the machine off and the machine will save the chosen setting and automatically switch off.
