The baby unit or parent unit won’t turn on, charge, or work
We’re sorry that you are experiencing issues with your baby monitor. If either the baby unit or parent unit seems to have a power or charging issue, here are some of our most common solutions.
Check the power source. Plug the baby unit into a different power outlet. It might just be a wall outlet or power strip issue.
Use a different power adapter. The baby unit does not have a built-in battery, so a reliable power adapter is very important. The power adapter can malfunction or become damaged over time. We recommend using the parent unit adapter to check. If a different adapter helped, you could also visit the support page for your product on the Philips official website to order a new power adapter. The original adapter made for your baby unit will help ensure a stable power supply.
Check the power input. Dust, dirt, and other small objects can get stuck in the port, preventing power from reaching the device.
Check for signs of power. Is the indicator light not working at all?
Restart the baby unit. Turn off the baby unit for 10 seconds, then turn it back on.
Reset the baby unit. A full reset can fix persistent display issues. To reset the baby unit:
Press the on/off button for 10 seconds.
The indicator light will flash orange and green, and the baby unit will reboot.
The factory reset is complete once the indicator light turns solid green.
Does it feel unusually warm? If so, don't worry. You can use the device safely. The baby monitors have been tested and meet international electrical standards, so the device is safe to use even when it is hot. However, do not expose the device to extreme cold or heat, direct sunlight, or near a heat source. If you are still unsure whether your device is safe to use, please contact us.
