It may take a bit longer
Even after a caesarean section, it is possible to breast feed and express successfully. It may, however, take a bit longer for you and your baby to begin breastfeeding and your milk might come in a bit later following the caesarian section.
Sit straight
You do not have to lean forward with a Philips Avent breast pump. You can sit up straight in a comfortable, natural position. Ask your midwife, family doctor, lactation specialist or breastfeeding adviser for support in starting to breastfeed, to make it most comfortable for you and your baby after the operation.
