How frequently should a 3-month-old breastfeed?

    12 weeks old

We get it. Sometimes it’d be nice if someone would hand over a crumb of certainty. Just a little something to let you know you’re on the right track, right?

While we can’t give you a single number to aim for (every baby’s appetite is different!), we can tell you that in the first few months babies need at least 6 feeds in 24 hours, although most will need 8-12 feeds or more to take in enough milk.

There’s no need to keep a strict tab. Simply feeding on demand and watching for early hunger signals is the best way to keep your little one’s tummy happy.
