My Sonicare 9900 Prestige toothbrush vibration is less powerful than before

    Published on 2021-04-16
Is your Sonicare 9900 Prestige toothbrush vibrating weakly or less powerful than before? You can view these possible causes and solutions to try and solve the issue.
If you apply excess pressure, the handle will change its vibration and the brushing feedback light at the base of the toothbrush will flash purple until you reduce the pressure.

The Sonicare 9900 Prestige comes with this feature already activated. You can deactivate this feature from the handle. See the user manual and follow the instructions in the Activating or deactivating features section.

Your Sonicare toothbrush is designed with Adaptive intensity to protect your gums. If you apply excess pressure for an extended period of time, your toothbrush will automatically lower the intensity setting 1 level. You will experience a brief pause in the pressure feedback and feel the intensity adjust to the next lower level.

The Sonicare 9900 Prestige comes with this feature already activated. You can deactivate this feature from the app or the handle. See the user manual and follow the instructions in the Activating or deactivating features section.
There is a possibility that you pressed the intensity button on the toothbrush while brushing. Try to avoid holding the handle in a way that your fingers are on the intensity button/lights.

Worn out bristles can seem less effective or powerful while brushing. We recommend you to replace your brush head after 3 months of use.
