How to connect a component video accessory device to Philips TV?

  1. Unplug the TV and accessory device before you make any connection

  2. Use a component video cables [(1)], connect one end of the video cables to the component video output jacks of the accessory device and the other end to the [AV1 YPbPr] jacks on the back of the TV

  3. Use a set of audio cables [(2)], connect one end of the audio cables to the audio left and right output jacks of the accessory device and the other end to the [AV1 Audio In L R] jacks on the back of the TV

  4. Turn on the accessory device, if it is a playback device such as a DVD Player or Recorder insert a pre-recorded DVD disc, and press the [Play] button

  5. Turn on the TV and press the [AV+] button on the remote control repeatedly to select [AV1] and press the [OK] button to confirm your selection

  6. If you wish to connect a second component video accessory device, you may do so by connecting it to the [AV2 YPbPr] and [AV2 Audio IN L R] jacks on the back of the television

  7. Press the [AV+] button on the remote control repeatedly to select [AV2] and press the [OK] button to confirm your selection

If you received no sound when connecting to the AV1 component video input of the television

Ensure that the audio Source from the TV on-screen Menu is selected correctly:

  1. Press the [Menu] button on the remote control
  2. Press the cursor [Up][Down] to select [Setup] and press the cursor [Right]
  3. Press the cursor [Up][Down] to select [Source] and press the cursor [Right]
  4. Press the cursor [Up][Down] to select [Analog Audio In] and press the cursor [Right]
  5. Press the cursor [Up][Down] to select [AV1] and press the [OK] button
  6. Press the [Menu] button to exit the Menu
