Your Philips Android TV is fully capable of playing media files from a USB drive. However, an application to play those files is not pre-installed, to allow you the choice of the one you prefer. To enable this functionality, simply open the Google Play Store and search for one of the media players available there. We have found that VLC Media Player is excellent and supports a wide variety of file formats.
