Great pump.
This is used for my second child. I primarily pump and bottle feed as I'm back to work. It is a very easy to use, lightweight pump. After time (2 months) I have noticed it leaking more. Just a bit here and there, but breast milk is priceless. I bought a larger bottle to attach and it leaks much more than the 4 oz bottle it came with. The cushion petal addition is optional but it really does add comfort, especially for those new to pumping. I like that I can toss it in my purse for whenever I made need it and it's silent. Wish it came with freezer bags (I don't know if Avent even makes any) and a larger bottle because having to stop pumping to empty the small one is kind of annoying. It's definitely worth the minimal amount I paid for compared to the hundreds of dollars others are.

Ehh . . .
Short and sweet: While it does express milk pretty well, this pump leaks horribly! And leaks even worse with the massaging petals attached!!! I kind of hate using it! But since I can't return it, I'm stuck with it!

Did not work for me.
Product did not work for me at all. The milk would flow back. Between the petal and the cone and would swish back and forth making it harder to get a grip on my breast and suck any milk out. And whatever was stck in between tne petal n cone would at times come out and make a sticky mess. I had to return product.

Great for on the go
I was very intimated about pumping but this pump is actually really simple once u use it a couple of times. I just returned to work and hopefully it helps me keep up my milk supply. I ruined a couple of the pump pieces when i first boiled them and i called Phillips and they replaced it at no charge, EXCELLENT customer service

Loved the old style
When my 12 year old was born, I bought an Avent Isis pump. Loved it so much I bought a second so I could pump both breasts at one time. I used them, my niece used them, and my step daughter used them. They would probably still work but God ony knows where my stepdaughter put them. When my daughter becamse pregnant, the Avent pump went right on the registry. She's having problems with her daughter latching, so pumping was a necessity. Unfortunately, they changed the design somewhat and she's not had the success with the pump I thought she would so I bought her a Medela electric. I looked on this site to see what the problem may be. I thought it was the new funnel valve which replaced the star valve. It turns out it's the adapter ring, which the manual mentions as a part, but does not indicate or mention using. I watched the video - the manual is shown as still having a star valve and the adapter ring is not even mentioned or shown. I'm really disappointed. The pump may work properly now that I saw - on the FAQ page but nowhere else - that the adapter ring is needed. However, I already bought the electric which brought a sigh of relief to my daughter.

Best pump around
I was given a manual pump in the hospital..it was useless..I purchased an expensive electric pump and it took me a half hour of pumping to get 2oz of milk..someone recommended this pump to me, I found it on sale at a local grocery store, used it once and pumped 8oz of milk from each breast within 10 minutes..it's so easy to use, gentle on your breast and easy to clean..I now recommend this pump to everyone and plan on using it with baby number 2 due in October! I honestly can not sing enough praises for this pump!

effective & simple
i had one of these for baby #1 (12 years old) & baby #2 (8 years old.)
i loved it; simple (despite many parts), nice price, lasted for many years. was easy to tote around in the diaper bag, dishwasher proof, pretty darn fool proof, honestly. you could decide how fast or slow to pump and also how much suction to apply, along with the length of the pressure & suction applied. it helped increase milk supply & helped daddy have bonding time with little ones.
the only complaint that i have is that milk would get sucked up under the petal shield and would leak a little.

lose suction power after using only a few times
My wife don't have to pump very often. So she has only used the pump for 5 -6 times by far. However, the pump already lose the suction power and it can pump out mile any more. unfortunately, we couldn't return it anymore. really regret the purchase.
