    What is Ambient Mode/How do I use Ambient mode on my Philips Google TV?

    When your Philips Google TV is not being used, it can quietly keep you entertained with Ambient Mode. You must be signed in to your Google account in order to set up and configure Ambient Mode.
    Note:
    • Ambient Mode allows Chromecast to access photos, personalized content, and preferences associated with your Google account.
    • You can access and manage Ambient Mode preferences from the Google Home app. 
    • All Ambient Mode preferences associated with your Google TV will be removed when you perform a factory reset on the associated Google TV
    • The maximum resolution of Ambient Mode on Chromecast Ultra devices is 1080p.

    How do I change Ambient Mode Settings for my Philips Google TV?

    Ambient Mode settings can be set on your TV or in the Google Home App on your phone or tablet.

    You can choose what displays on your TV screen when you're not watching anything.
     
    Choose your screen saver
    1. From the Google TV home screen, at the top right, go to the user profile icon and select "Settings."
    2. Select System > Ambient mode.
    3. Choose what you want to show:
     ・Google Photos: Choose photos or albums saved in your Google Photos account.
     ・Art gallery, : Choose featured photos, Earth and space photos, street art, fine art, and more.
     ・Experimental: Try out new sources and content.
     
    Change photo settings
    Choose which photos show
    1. On your phone, open Google Home 
    3. At the top right, select Settings >Ambient mode>Google Photos.
    4. Select the photos or albums you want to show on your TV.

    Customize settings
    1. From the Google TV home screen, at the top right, go to the user profile icon and select "Settings."
    2. Select System>Ambient mode.
    3. Under "More settings," choose:
     ・Personal photo data: Show or hide the owner's name and album name.
     ・Portrait Google Photos: Choose if photos can show in portrait orientation.
     ・Personal photo curation: Choose which albums are included.
     ・Slideshow speed: Choose how long a photo stays on the screen.

    Show weather & time on your screen saver
    1. From the Google TV home screen, at the top right, go to the user profile icon and select "Settings."
    2. Select System>Ambient mode.
    3. Under "More settings," choose:
     ・Weather: Choose °C, °F, or Both.
     ・Time: Choose to show or hide the time.




    To adjust your Ambient Mode settings on the Google Home App, follow the steps below.
    1. Open the Google Home app.
    2. Touch and hold your device's tile.
    3. At the top right corner, tap "Settings."
    4. Scroll down then tap Ambient Mode.
