If you do not remember the name of your TV, or have many devices on your network, you can check the name on the television as follows:
- Press the "Home" button on your remote control to go to the Google TV home screen
- Next, use the thumb pad to navigate to the top right, and highlight the user profile icon
- From the menu that pops up, use the thumb pad to navigate to "Settings."
- Press "OK"
- In the menu that pops up, navigate to “System” and press OK.
- In the menu that pops up, navigate to “About” and press OK.
- Your TV name will appear below the heading "Device Name."
If you cannot cast to your Philips Google TV or the TV is not visible to cast to, try these steps:
- Make certain that your TV is connected to the same wireless network your device is connected to.
- From the Google TV home screen, in the top right, go to the user profile icon and select "Settings."
- Under "Network & Internet," find the name of the Wi-Fi network your TV is connected to. Make sure it's the same as the network on the device you want to cast from.
- Make certain that your TV is setup to CAST by verifying that the Chromecast built-In app is running and enabled
- From the Google TV home screen, in the top right, go to the user profile icon and select Settings.
- Select Apps > See all apps.
- Navigate down and select “Show system apps”
- Navigate down to “Chromecast built-in”
- If you do not see it, check in the “Disabled apps” section as well.
- Once you locate it, look on the right side of the screen and check to see that the app is enabled. If you see that there is an option to Enable the app, do so.
- Reboot your device by navigating to Settings->System->Reboot
- Make certain that your TV is fully updated
- From the Google TV home screen, in the top right, go to the user profile icon and select "Settings."
- Select System > About > System Update.
- If an update is available, follow the on-screen instructions to install it.
- NOTE- you must be connected to the internet to update your TV
